For years, the idea of human cloning has been tampered with.  Many science fiction movies have been based on the unnatural and the unusual.  Could the scientist of today make the fantasy a reality?  Some claim that cloning could be the beginning of a new frontier, the beginning of a new civilization.  According to the article entitled "Will We Follow The Sheep", "Even the most ardent egalitarians would find it hard to object to an Einstein appearing every 50 years, or a Chopin every century....If a scientific method were developed so that the man who explained general relativity in the first half of the century could be brought back to crack the secrets of naked singularities in the second, could we resist using it?"  The answer is YES.  We CAN resist such a method.  Trying to bring back those who have left this earth and have done their share for humanity is wrong.  Nature chose them to be born and live during a certain era in time and gave them the opportunity to life.  NO human is immortal.  Each individual on this earth has one thing in common, the same destiny....DEATH.

Cloning contributes to the decline of genetic diversity.  It is diversity that drives evolution and prevents an entire species from disappearing.  Human cloning would not only lack in individuality but could produce a new race of individuals who could be easily manipulated.  Creating clones would lead to everyone having the same genetic material.  And if ever the the ability to clone had been lost or unavailable, the human race would have to resort to natural reproduction causing inbreeds.  Geneticists could clone actors, models, and even sports greats, decreasing the chances for any new talent to come about.  Cloning can also be seen as taking nature into one's own hands.  No doctor, scientist, or geneticist has or should be given the power to create life by means of genetic technology.  Such power is lethal and could be abused.  No mortal is above the natural law, and to tamper with nature equals disaster.

Genetic screening tests could also be used to eliminate zygotes of a particular gender, without requiring a later abortion.  Geneticists would aid not in the creation of life, but in the destruction of life.

When the gene or genes that determine sexual orientation are located, cloning could be used to eliminate zygotes of a particular sexual orientation.

A country might finance a program similar to that of Nazi Germany whereby humans were bred to maximize certain traits.  Once the "perfect human" was developed, embryo cloning could be used to replicate that individual and conceivably produce unlimited numbers of clones.  To demean anyone, even a clone, is socially and morally unacceptable.
