Terrorist
The thought of terrorist using chemical
and biological weapons is making its way into people's minds all around
the world. Small packages were left on five subway trains in Tokyo
with the nerve gas sarin seeping through the packages. "The attack
in Japan," says Israeli terrorist expert Yonah Alexander, "has global implications.
It's a quantum leap to terrorism by mass destruction," (Godber
2). There is an enormous amount of weapons to chose from with
each having different attributes. This is what makes these weapons
suitable for terrorist use. From a terrorist standpoint, there are
so many advantages for using chemical and biological weapons instead of
conventional ones. Chemical and biological weapons have a low cost,
low detection rate, and a high casualty percentage. These agents
are easy to carry and hide because they can be kept in small packages.
Chemical and biological weapons are forty times more weight efficient than
bombs and weapons of that nature. With all these characteristics
of chemical and biological weapons, we have to know everything about them
to be able to take action when they strike.
